Appointment letter: This is your student visa appointment letter
Form I-20: This is the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status
DS-160: This is the Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You will need to present the confirmation barcode page.
MRV receipt: This shows payment of your visa application fee.
SEVIS I-901 receipt: This shows receipt of your SEVIS fee.
Financial evidence: This refers to documents like your bank statements that show you have sufficient funds to pay for your tuition.
Passport Photo: This photo should meet the dimension and other requirements as set by the Department of State. For example, your photo should be taken in the last six months, printed in color, and you cannot wear glasses.
Passport: Your passport must be valid at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the US (but there are some country-specific exemptions).
For your interview, you should prepare your documents in an organized way. For example, you can add tabs and put them in a folder so that you can easily find them. Having these documents organized will help you confidently answer the questions the consular officer will ask you.
